Not every wound is visible.
For years, I allowed other people's opinions to define who I believed I was. Through God's grace and the renewing power of His Word, I discovered that healing begins by changing the story we tell ourselves.
Today my mission is simple:
Help women replace lies with God's truth and walk confidently in their God-given identity.
Hi, I'm YAB.
I'm the author of Subconsciously ME, and my passion is helping women break free from the negative thoughts and labels that have shaped their identity for far too long. Through biblical truth, practical reflection, and honest encouragement, my prayer is that every woman who visits this space discovers hope, healing, and the courage to move forward.
For years, I believed that my past had the final say over my future. But God showed me a life-changing truth that became the foundation of everything I write:
“Your past may explain you, but it does not define you.
That revelation transformed the way I saw myself, and it's the message I now share with women who are ready to replace shame with hope, fear with faith, and lies with God's truth.
Another lesson God has faithfully taught me is this:
“Things are not falling apart; they are falling into place.
”
If you're walking with Christ and life feels heavy—if you're experiencing hardship, heartbreak, disappointment, or unexpected detours—don't lose heart. What feels like everything is falling apart may actually be God carefully putting the pieces together according to His perfect plan.
And if you don't yet have a relationship with God, but you're tired of carrying life's burdens by yourself, know that you're welcome here too. You don't have to have all the answers before you begin. Sometimes healing starts with simply being willing to hope that life can be different. My prayer is that through these pages you'll discover not only encouragement, but the One who can bring lasting peace, purpose, and restoration.
God doesn't waste a tear, a painful experience, a setback, or a season of waiting. Every trial has a purpose. He uses our struggles to refine our faith, deepen our dependence on Him, reveal His character, and shape us into the women He created us to be. Even when we can't see what He's doing, He is always working for our good and for His glory.
